Street Photography Workshop 28th March 2020

In this workshop, we take a dander (Belfast slang for a walk) around Belfast City centre. This area is a fantastic location to shoot some Street, and as this is the city of my birth, I know all the best places to take you, and it will be my pleasure to help you get the best from your camera and the day. “There are no strangers here, only friends you haven’t yet met”

Hi thanks for checking this out. I’m a full-time professional photographer, with over 33yrs experience behind the camera.
My photography has been exhibited internationally and also published in Books, Magazines and in the Press. I have had the pleasure over the years of teaching photography to over 700 students at my workshops throughout the UK and Ireland.
I also have a YouTube channel, Rambles with my Camera where I share weekly videos related to Photography and to date I have over 1.3 million views on my channel and 3.7 thousand subscribers. I also have my Facebook Photography page Rambles with my Camera where I share photos from my archives from 1986 to the present day.

Who is this Workshop for?

Although this workshop is geared towards those of you who are new to Street Photography, it is also very suitable for those of you who want to have a recap or improve on your current Street Photography knowledge, by learning from someone who has acquired over 33 years experience behind the camera.

Workshop Details

I always make sure to put fun into my photography workshops, and although I will be sharing a lot of beneficial information in the workshop, my teaching methods are very relaxed, fun and down to earth as I find this is the best way to teach, and this is also great for the students to have a fun experience while they learn and to look for a different perspective in their photography.

Before hitting the streets to take photos, we will start the day off with a very relaxed and informal meet and greet where I will do a run-through of the day’s workshop’s itinerary (see list below).
This part of the workshop also gives me a chance to hear what you would like from the workshop, and it will also give me an opportunity to give you some tips and tricks to get the best from your camera before we hit the streets.

To date, I have taught over 700 students photography and I love to see them get the shot they never thought they could get, so it will be my pleasure to help you get the best from your camera.
On the streets during the workshop, I will be interacting with you individually and also collectively as a group. I will be sharing with you tips and tricks which I have gained during my 33yrs as a photographer. I will be guiding on what to look for and how to capture meaningful images, and also how to gain confidence when shooting on the street.

Each student will also get some 1-2-1 time with me, which will give us a chance to discuss your photography and this will give you a chance to discuss any specific issue that you would require help and advice with.
